the kiddies have finished this terms works now mainly consisting of aussie fauna... emus await firing and an assortment of fish, this little guy perhaps concerned about whats next??
Thanks so much to Belinda and Jill for running theses classes the kids learned a lot about making and the animals.....plans for next year are afoot already.....also thanks to wednesday team for helping with all manner of things to keep these sessions running smoothly...

A great sunny day for pit firing and well lots of great company too...
After a rather cool and rainy day on sunday the pit was cool enough to empty today so we did!!! Belinda and myself dove in a rummaged through the remnants of the fire pulling out all sorts of lovely pieces.... stills to follow..
All the work is now at the clubrooms ready to be oooohhed and ahhhed at.
Last Saturday was our bus trip to Clare,a great time was had by all.
Although it was raining outside,inside the bus was full of song and laughter.Yes we had the old sing-a-long at the back of the bus.
First stop for morning tea, Auburn the gateway to the Clare Valley,rich in history and heritage buildings.
Auburn Gallery "You must remember this" 20 Main north road,Auburn.A wonderful welcoming morning tea was had by some of our group,take my advice and try the Devonshire tea it was great.The owners of the gallery made us feel very welcome.
Next stop the Town of Clare where we had lunch,then on to Scarlattis gallery at Mount Surmon Wines.The art work on show was by Grace Delaney titled "Mixed Elements".
we had a super firing at the studio last saturday, a few showers were easily worked around with some very spectacular results. some very large pieces proved challenging when it came to getting them into the bins but everything survived ok... thanks kevin, chief bbq'er and kiln handler..
next fun firing is pit fire on september 6th at belindas place... see you then save ya banana skins!
From a very big vacant space a few nights ago to a lovely warm room today we were well pleased with nice weather and quite warm for this month..the opening turnout was great and the team encouraged to further our exhibition work SALA is a great opportunity to see Adelaide art out in force..there's lots to see inner city and out in the subs and artists walks..have a peruse of our SALA website for more where you can also search for areas or individuals artwork / studio etc..
TACTILE SALA exhibition opening this sunday 3rd Aug if your nearby drop in between 12-3pm, opening at 1pm by TTG mayor Miriam Smith. We've had news of visitors coming already from across town to outer area school visiting our open studio.
